Easter egg hunt set for Grangeville Health & Rehab

GRANGEVILLE – Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation will be host to an Easter egg hunt Friday, March 30, 3:30 p.m., for kids birth to 6 years.

Residents will be dying eggs beforehand.

Free Easter dinner set at The Hangout

COTTONWOOD – The Hangout will serve a free Easter dinner Sunday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Schniders will serve ham, mashed potatoes, rolls, green beans and strawberry shortcake. Everyone is invited.

Good Friday, Easter service, egg hunt set for Nazarene church

GRANGEVILLE – Grangeville Church of the Nazarene will hold a Good Friday Service Friday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. Following morning service on Easter, Sunday, April 1, an egg hunt will be held at about 10:30 a.m. All kids welcome.

Egg hunt is Saturday at Lions Park

GRANGEVILLE – The Grangeville Eagles Easter egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m., at Lions Park. Donations of eggs, candy and cash are being accepted now. Call Yolanda Stout at 208-983-2131 or 208-451-5531.

White Bird egg hunt is this Saturday

WHITE BIRD – The White Bird Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m., at the WBARD building. This is for toddlers through 6th grade. To help or donate call Renee Farmer at 208-839-2395.

Riggins egg hunt is March 31

RIGGINS — The annual Riggins Easter egg hunt will take place at the Riggins Elementary School Saturday, March 31, noon. There will be eggs, prizes, and prize eggs for each division. Everyone from babies to 4th grade is invited to take part in the fun.

Emmanuel Baptist sets services

COTTONWOOD — Emmanuel Baptist Church, 404 Foster in Cottonwood, will be having a Sonrise service beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday, April 1. There will be a potluck breakfast to follow. Sunday School for all ages is 8:45 a.m., and morning worship service is at 10 a.m. The church choir will perform an Easter Cantata “He’s Alive” at both services.

Ferdinand egg hunt slated for March 31

FERDINAND – The city of Ferdinand will be host to its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m., at the ball field. Age groups range from zero to 12.

Kooskia event to include rock hunt, prizes

KOOSKIA – An Easter egg hunt and CV rock hunt is set for Saturday, March 31, at Kooskia City Park, 10 a.m., for ages up through 11.

Bring an Easter basket and a camera; the Easter bunny will be there. Join in the Bunny Hop to win additional prizes.

Holy Thursday service set for Methodist church

GRANGEVILLE — Thursday March 29, 6 p.m., United Methodist Church in Grangeville will have a Holy Thursday Service at the United Methodist Church. This will include a Service of Tenebrae and Holy Communion. The church is located at the stoplight on Main Street across from Asker’s.

Egg hunt set for Greencreek

GREENCREEK — Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m., Greencreek will have an Easter egg hunt on the church lawn for children age 0-12 years. Prizes for each age group.

Elk City egg hunt is Sunday, April 1

ELK CITY – An Easter egg hunt is set at the Elk City School for Sunday, 11 a.m.

Cottonwood egg hunt set

COTTONWOOD – Cottonwood’s annual Easter egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m., at the city park.

Valley Singers Easter cantata is April 8

COTTONWOOD — The Valley singers, celebrating 65 years of sharing inspirational music throughout North Central Idaho and Montana, will be presenting their first Easter concert in many years.

Under the direction of Mrs. Carrie Bain, the Valley Singers will present a program of individual inspirational pieces and solos and highlighting the Easter Cantata “Resurrection Day,” performed by the 20-person choir.

Singing duo Mr. Jody Dow and Ms. Heidi Korponay will sing “God Hath Provided the Lamb,” music and lyrics by Linda Almond. Dow will also perform the popular song, “The Holy City,” by Weatherby and Adams,” followed by the message of Holy Week and Easter as told in song by The Valley Singers, performing individual pieces “We Will Glorify,” by Twila Paris, and “I Can See,” lyrics by Gloria Gaither, music by David Meece, and completing the program with the cantata “Resurrection Day” by Don Wyrtzen and Phil and Lynne Brower.

The public is invited to enjoy two free performance at St. Gertrude’s Monastery, located at 465 Keuterville Rd. in Cottonwood, on Sunday, April 8, at 3 p.m. Refreshments for guests will be provided.
