Encouragers meeting to feature Linda Gott May 3

— Encouragers will meet Thursday, May 3, 11:30 a.m., at Pizza Factory in Grangeville. The no-host luncheon meeting features Linda Gott as speaker on the topic, “The Blessing of the Call.”

Gott moved to Grangeville in 1999 with her pastor husband, Harold, to serve Grangeville Christian Church, after pastoring for 15 years in Sisters, Oregon. In 1997 she was declared cancer-free after a bone morrow transplant helped her to win a long battle with cancer. She has served the churches her husband has pastored in numerous ways, including teaching and administrative assistant.

The Gotts have three adult children. Their oldest daughter holds an executive position with Thomas Nelson Publishers in Nashville, Tenn., and son is a business owner in Oakland, Calif. Ellen, the youngest daughter, who graduated Grangeville High School, will graduate from medical school this year. The Gotts look forward to retiring in a few months.
