Rifle raffle to support Veterans Association
GRANGEVILLE — A Savage 111 .338 Lapua long-range hunting rifle is the top prize in a May 18 drawing to benefit Idaho County Veterans Association programs. $10 per ticket or six for $50.

Annual White Bird Hill bike ride is June 2
The annual “Just For The Hill Of It” bicycle challenge ride up the old White Bird Grade is on June 2.
The ride benefits Syringa Hospice. Preregister by May 30 by visiting the event calendar on syringahospital.org. To register day of event, registration is 8 a.m. at Hammer Creek Recreational Park and the ride begins at 9 a.m.
Sprague wrestling camp tour coming to Kamiah this summer
Famed wrestling coach Marc Sprague will be in the Clearwater River valley twice this summer, for wrestling camps July 30-Aug. 2 and Aug. 6-9.
The camps, titled “Be A Beast On Top” and “Let’s Get Vertical,” will run 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day and cost $249 for one or $349 for both. Detailed information and registration forms are online at cobrawrestlingsystems.com.

Grangeville football spring combine scheduled May 22
GRANGEVILLE — The GHS football spring combine is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. May 22 at GHS. Spring football practice is June 4-7 and June 12-13 at 6:30 p.m. each evening at GHS.
Grangeville has also scheduled its summer camp, which will be at University of Idaho this June 18-20.

Chinook counts tick up from “worst ever”
