This local school board must resign

Letter to the Editor

Did all you taxpayers know that our local school board passed a motion at the April school board meeting to not hire a lawyer to negotiate with the teachers’ union this year?

Last time it was $4,000, yes, $4,000 dollars a day. At least two people recommended — one a local teacher — that a lawyer at that rate was way too much.

Guess what? Our elected school board under the capricious leadership of Dominguez has since held a secret meeting to “change their mind” and hire a lawyer at the cost of $8,000 per day!

I’m sure that you read about the secret meeting in the paper, right? I’m sure that you heard about the secret meeting on the radio, right?

How many of you taxpayers are making $8,000 per day or even $8,000 a month?

This local school board must resign so that we can start over with an elected board that will look after taxpayers’ interests instead of spending our money so wildly—at the least, Dominguez should step down immediately.

And they want to be called TRUSTees—really?

Do yourself a favor and attend the next school board meeting to see how out of control this entity really is.
