ARF in need of painted rocks

GRANGEVILLE — The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is participating in the summer reading program with the library again this year. ARF will be sponsoring the June 13 event – 11 a.m. to noon. They will have a story time, paint rocks with animal faces, color animal color pages, and provide an education spiel for ARF and good pet owner practices.

ARF is in need of help. Drop off painted rocks Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch noon-1 p.m.) at Idaho Department of Labor, 158 East Main St., Suite 1A, Grangeville, ID 83530. All example rocks will need to be delivered by June 12.

Prayer time on tap for June 9

GRANGEVILLE – A prayer time is set for Soltman Center in Grangeville from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 9. All are invited.

Bingo in Kamiah June 1

KAMIAH – American Legion Post No. 75 will host Bingo this Friday, June 1, 7 p.m., at the hall at 618 Main Street.

Community breakfast at St. Catherine’s is May 30

KAMIAH -- The free monthly community breakfast at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church will be held on May 30, from 8:30-10 a.m. Breakfasts are held every month on the last Wednesday of each month.

St. Catherine’s Catholic Church is located at 7th and Idaho streets in Kamiah. The breakfast this month will be French toast, scrambled eggs, coffee, orange juice, friendly faces and friendly conversation. St. Catherine’s invites all in the community.

Summer Concert Series set for July in Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE – Performers for the 10th annual Grangeville Summer Concert Series have been scheduled.

Concerts are held each Thursday night, 6 p.m., in the Grangeville Pioneer (city) Park. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinner. Dogs are not allowed in the park. Donations will be taken to help with costs of the series.

The first concert will be with Grangeville’s own Vintage Youth on July 12. July 19 will feature The Hankers from Oaksdale, Wash.; July 26 will showcase Muzzy Braun out of Stanley; and series will end with Dodgy Mountain Men from Missoula.

The series is sponsored by Grangeville Arts, Inc., and the Grangeville Chamber of Commerce.

Clearwater yard sale on tap for June 9

CLEARWATER -- The Clearwater Grange will hold a community yard sale Saturday, June 9. All Clearwater area residents are encouraged to participate. Set up a sale at your property or rent a table at the Grange Hall for $10. A map will be distributed for all locations if you signed up by May 15. The maps may be picked up at the Grange Hall the morning of the sale, June 9.
