— Hope your Memorial Day was one shared with friends and family and you all remembered and paid tribute and honor to those who serve us and our country in uniform.

Several former Elk City students graduated from high school this year – yikes! Where did the time go? I had a granddaughter and grandson graduate this year!

Sue shares a final report from the fund-raising event held for the Elk City library: “The Friends of The Elk City Library are very happy to report their Beer and Wine Tasting event raised more than $1,100 for the library and placed eight new books on the shelves for patrons valued at $143.43 from the “Pick-n-pay” books! This is the only fundraiser the “Friends” hold and they are so very thankful to community for all their support. A huge thank you to all who helped out, donated, and attended!”

Elk City Days 2018 is in the planning stages. Be sure you get the information on your event to Lynn at ASAP so it can be included on the posters.
