Grangeville Senior Citizens

Stan Modrell opened the May 21 meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Pastor Tom Helmick offered the prayer. Norman Graham was the winner of the free dinner. 75 meals were served at the site and 26 hot meals were home delivered. We celebrated Roberta Gibbs’ birthday. Pinochle Winners: Dolores Kindall, first with 5,260 and John Purdy, second with 4,550.

Stan Modrell opened the meeting on May 23 with the Pledge of Allegiance and Shirley Crane said the prayer. Gary Diederich was the winner of the free dinner drawing. 50 meals were served on site and 24 hot meals were home delivered. The Old-Time Fiddlers were guests. Pinochle Winners: Jane Burgess, first with 4,750 and Beth Parish, second with 4,460.

Dick Seay opened the May 25 meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Carl Sommer offered the prayer. Linda Dodge was the winner of the free dinner. 52 meals were served at the site and 28 hot and 16 frozen meals were home delivered. The Camas Rovers (dancers) were guests. Joanie Golz shared a story with the group. This day we honored all veterans. Pinochle Winners: John Purdy, first with 4,240 and Beth Parish, second with 4,020.

Mary Purdy, Stan Modrell, Lazelle Hauger and Irene are winners of 300 Pinochles.

Menu for June 1: BBQ Chicken, Potato Wedges, Peas and Carrots, Green Salad w/Dressing, Orange Wedge and Roll.

Menu for June 4: Beef Stroganoff Over Noodles, Steamed Broccoli, Pineapple Chunks, Sherbet and Roll.

Menu for June 6: Baked Fish, French Fries, Green Beans, Coleslaw and Pudding.
