Cottonwood News: Several area retreats set for new year

— Happy New Year! Did you make your resolutions yet? With the New Year, Mass times change again for 2019 between St. Mary’s and St. Anthony. Beginning Sunday, Jan 6, 8 a.m. Mass will be at St. Anthony in Greencreek; 10 a.m. Mass will be at St. Mary’s in Cottonwood.

Ryan Turner, who works at BLM Cottonwood Field Office, was recently presented the “Outstanding Contribution to the River Management Society Award” at Vancouver, Wash. The award was for service to the society and leadership of the Northwest Chapter River Ranger Rendezvous.

Save the date! All women are welcome to attend an Ignatius-style retreat hosted by local Regnum Christi women. Father Bruce Wren will be retreat master. The retreat will be held at the Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, Mar. 7-9.


Free Press / Donna Wassmuth Gatlin and Grace Spencer, twin children of Dave and Danielle Spencer of Greencreek, were having their time with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Greencreek Hall.

Information Night - GROW - Adult Catechesis. “Is not my word like fire?” Jeremiah 23:29. Join us at the Catholic Education Center, (CEC Building), Sunday, Jan. 6, 6-8 p.m., for an evening filled with information about GROW small groups. We will be presenting information, different books and curriculum to get groups started. Baby-sitting, drinks and snacks provided.
