Missing woman’s dog found; attempt fails to use Ace to find Johnson

Connie Johnson had been missing for nearly three weeks when her border collie, Ace, walked into the Moose Creek Ranger Station airstrip last Tuesday, Oct. 23. The family of the 76-year-old Nezperce woman worked with a search team to fly the dog back into the search area in hopes it would lead them to her. That hope was short-lived.

Up 16.8 percent from 2014; county election interest shows in absentee voting

Traditionally known for low voter turnout, midterm elections this November are forecasted to see a sizeable bump in the ballot box from the average, according to national analysts, as a left-versus-right referendum on the Trump Administration, and for which party will control Congress. At the local level, absentee voting numbers from the Idaho County Election Office are bearing out the predictions.
