Community prayer walk on tap for Feb. 25

A School and Community Prayer Walk is set for Sunday, Feb. 25, 3 p.m. Meet at the Grangeville Elementary Middle School Main entrance. Everyone is invited. The group will walk from GEMS to Sts. Peter and Paul School to Grangeville High School and back to GEMS. All walks of faith are invited. Prayer will be lifted up for schools, teachers, administration, students and community. Students show knowledge of countries at ‘Worlds Fair’ event

It was a trip around the world in a day at Centennial Evangelical Free Church Jan. 25. A group of homes-schooled students gathered to show their “Around the World” projects to friends, family and community members. Dressed in Swedish clothing, Maggie Foster offered insights into Sweden as well as a taste of homemade Swedish meatballs.

Men’s retreat set for March 2, 3

A Regional Men’s Retreat is set for March 2 and 3, at the Grangeville Christian Church, 402 W.S. 1st Street in Grangeville. There will be a meeting Friday evening March 2, and meetings morning and afternoon Saturday March 3, with lunch served.

Prayer time is set for the Soltman Center (across Main Street from the hospital) in Grangeville at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. Also, those who would like to share and discuss ideas for the observance of the National Day of Prayer in May can come in at 8 a.m.

St. Mary’s/Holy Cross annual dinner, raffle set for Feb. 25

There is good news for all the loyal attendees of the annual Keuterville Holy Cross dinner. The 41st event and prize drawing will take place Sunday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Keuterville Hall. Cost is $9 for adults; $4 for grades one through six; kindergarten and preschool get in for free.

Hope Center Donation

The Summit Academy kindergarten class out of Cottonwood made a special trip to visit Hope Center in Grangeville Jan. 30. The students presented a more than $1,000 donation to director Kelly Turney for the center. Summit students had a contest to raise funds in the “baby bottle” for the center. They have continued to up their total donation amount during the past decade.

Cowboy fellowship set for this Saturday

World’s Fair exhibition set for E-Free Church

The 4th Home School World’s Fair is set for Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Centennial Evangelical Free Church in Grangeville. It will be an open house, held between noon and 2 p.m. The countries being presented are Scotland, Sweden, France, Australia, New Zealand, Chad, Jordan, Vietnam, Ireland, Switzerland, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, India, Egypt, Romania, Haiti, Canada, and Austria.

Faith Lutheran in Kamiah sets activities

Faith Lutheran Church in Kamiah welcomes everyone to attend services each Sunday at 11 a.m. The church is located at Sixth and Idaho streets. The annual meeting will be on Sunday, Jan. 28. The meeting takes place after a covered dish dinner. Everyone is invited to come take part in this meeting that will effect guidelines of Faith Lutheran Church.
