Tristan M. Macadams

U.S. Air Force Airman Tristan M. Macadams recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Macadams is the son of Leslie Bowman and stepson of Michael Turner of Grangeville. He is a 2017 graduate of Grangeville High School.

Idaho County Republican Central Committee meets Dec. 19; candidate McGeachin to attend

The Idaho County Republican Central Committee will meet Tuesday, Dec. 19, 6 p.m. at the Super 8. A quick business meeting will be held as members enjoy a finger foods potluck. Attending will be former state representative Janice McGeachin, Republican candidate for lieutenant governor. She will be staying overnight and available to meet people in the area. Puckett wins grade-level holiday card contest

A joyful, wintry watercolor by Marsing Middle School student Drew Hanley will grace this year’s holiday cards from the Idaho State Department of Education. Grade-level winner for fourth grade was Kamiah Elementary School fourth grader, Emily Puckett. Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for Dec. 20

The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, Dec. 20, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 208-926-7776.

Faith Briefs - Dec. 6, 2017

All are invited to Encouragers Christmas party Thursday, Dec. 7, at 11:30 a.m.. The no-host luncheon at Pizza Factory, 126 W. Main, in Grangeville, will feature Christmas music by Sue Johnson, Pat Hunter, Sherry Kinnick, and Carol Schmidt, and a Christmas reading by Debbie Ewing. Ima Wikoff will lead group carols with her accordion, with others playing guitar and keyboard. A white elephant gift exchange follows the music. Those attending are encouraged to bring food for the local food bank.
