Varsity Blue Valentine And Birthday Wishes

Grangeville High School’s Varsity Blue Choir, under the direction of Ms. Merrill-Lee Rasmussen, performed about 40 singing Valentines on Feb. 14. Here, the group sings to Mr. Andrew Riener at the Grangeville Senior Citizens Center. Riener recently celebrated his 101st birthday and was treated to the song, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” Riener is seen here thanking the group as (L-R) Jillian Hausladen, Anastasia Bearden and Colby Canaday look on.

Cross Country Cowboy Fellowship is Feb. 24

If you see something, say something, says GPD Drew

“If you see something, say something in a timely manner,” advised Chief Morgan Drew, Grangeville Police Department. “People are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.” Drew reminded residents that officers are on duty every day throughout the year to respond to reports of suspicious and criminal activity, and other citizen concerns. This includes holidays, he added, as the office did have a recent comment from a resident that he didn’t contact the office on a matter as he thought GPD would be closed.

VFW sponsors breakfast at Vets Center

Veterans of Foreign Wars Crea-DeHaven Post 3520 sponsors the bi-monthly free breakfast for veterans and their families held on the second and fourth Saturdays at the Idaho County Veterans Outreach and Community Center, 318 East Main in Grangeville. The next breakfast will be Feb. 25 from 8 to 10 a.m. All veterans are invited to drop in for a breakfast of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy.
