Cowboy fellowship set for this Saturday

‘Have a Heart for Health Care’ event is Feb. 12 at Soltman Center

Idaho voters are invited to the “Have a Heart for Health Care” event at the Soltman Center Monday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Petitions to put expanded Medicaid on the ballot in November will be available to sign by registered voters. March 9 set for GOP Lincoln Day Dinner

The annual Lincoln Day Dinner will be held Friday, March 9, at the Greencreek Community Hall. The event starts with a 5 p.m. social hour and silent auction, dinner at 6 and a forum for the five candidates for lieutenant governor at 7 p.m. Candidates for state through local offices will also be introduced.

Teams sought for co-ed volleyball

Team sign-ups are open for the Grangeville Co-Ed Volleyball season that starts in mid-March. Teams can be up to 11 people per roster, and it is open to men and women ages 18 (and graduated) and up to 101. Playing fees to be determined.

World’s Fair exhibition set for E-Free Church

The 4th Home School World’s Fair is set for Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Centennial Evangelical Free Church in Grangeville. It will be an open house, held between noon and 2 p.m. The countries being presented are Scotland, Sweden, France, Australia, New Zealand, Chad, Jordan, Vietnam, Ireland, Switzerland, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, India, Egypt, Romania, Haiti, Canada, and Austria.

Clearwater Grange to host yard sale, bazaar, Ground Hog Feed

The Clearwater Grange is hosting a bazaar/yard sale on Sunday, Feb. 4 in Clearwater. This coincides with the annual Ground Hog Day Breakfast at the IOOF Hall in Clearwater. The bazaar will be in the grange hall, also in Clearwater, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tables for the bazaar are still available at $10. Call Carol Bonanno to reserve one 208-926-7465. This event is a fund-raiser for the grange to help maintain its historic building.

Births - Jan. 10, 2018

Amanda Hunter of Harpster, Idaho, is the mother of a baby son. Cash Cecil Hunter was born Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Cottonwood, Idaho. He weighed six pounds, 11 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Grandparents are Sandy and Tom Carrier of Kamiah, Idaho; LaMoyne Hunter of Harpster; and Susan Walchi-Hunter of Hermiston, Ore.
