Kooskia man arrested during stop for failure to register as sex offender

On Oct. 13, Idaho County Corporal Craig Hoodman had contact with John M. Graham, 49, during a traffic stop. Shortly after the traffic stop was concluded, Hoodman received information Graham was a registered sex offender who was residing in Kooskia without having registered in Idaho County. Graham was arrested for felony failure to register as a sex offender, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

Kooskia man arrested on felony meth possession, delivery charges

A court hearing is pending for a Kooskia man arrested last week on felony drug charges. Jerry W. Wilson, 60, was taken into custody Sept. 30 on charges of possession of methamphetamaine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) release.

ISP investigating Sept. 12 fatality crash at Woodland

Investigation continues into last week’s fatality crash at Woodland that claimed the life of an Oregon woman. Tracy Schiedler, 42, of Portland, died at the scene of injuries suffered in the crash. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the Sept. 12 single-vehicle accident reported on Woodland Road – a half-mile south of Harrisburg Road — last Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to information from the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) and Idaho State Police. Reported around 6:48 p.m., Cord Wilson, 26, of Paul, Idaho, was driving a Chevrolet pickup with passengers Schiedler, an unidentified juvenile, and Alicia Crume, 40, of Kamiah northbound on Woodland Road. Approximately eight miles from U.S. Highway 12, Wilson lost control of the vehicle that went off the road and traveled around 150 feet down an embankment.

Kooskia man charged with felony DUI

A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, Sept. 21, for a Kooskia man charged with felony DUI. According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO), David L. Cobb, 24, was arrested Sept. 9 by Corporal Craig Hoodman following a traffic stop on an equipment violation on U.S. Highway 12 near milepost 72. While talking with Cobb, Hoodman suspected that Cobb had been drinking and had him perform standardized field sobriety tests.
