Kamiah ends CV’s season

A run during the second quarter Wednesday night, Feb. 14, put the Kamiah boys in charge, and they went on to close out Clearwater Valley 51-42. Kamiah will play Potlatch in an elimination game at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at LCSC.

Salmon River bounced by Deary

Salmon River survives on Pottenger's last-second three-pointer

Payton Branstetter (18 points), Lotus Harper (12), Miranda Hofflander (11) and Emily Diaz (10) all scored double-digits for Salmon River Thursday night, but their 55-54 win over Council came down to a triple at the buzzer by Jordyn Pottenger -- her only hoop of the night.

Grangeville girls push St. Maries to the brink

“Despite big games from Kaci Haeg, Kaylee Auer and Devyn Wilson, the St. Maries girls were upset this evening,” the St. Maries Gazette-Record reported Wednesday night, Feb. 7, noting they did not win the second game of the Central Idaho League’s district tournament 64-56. The Grangeville girls won, but as upsets go, their win might not rank among the unexpected, at least within the team.

Long Pin district tournament to run Feb. 13-21 at McCall

The Salmon River boys are in line for a mid-tier seed in the District III tournament, based on their record against the rest of the Long Pin Conference through Feb. 6. The Savages are scheduled to play at league-leading Council tonight at 6 p.m. MT, Wednesday, Feb. 7.
