Jane Adele Sarbacher, 62
Rathdrum, Idaho
Jane Adele Sarbacher; daughter of Mac and Marcia Pea, succumbed to heart failure in her home Dec. 15, 2013. Jane was taken quickly with her husband, Gerold Earnest Sarbacher, by her side. Jane spent her final days sounded by the people she loved planning for the holidays. Jane was a loving, caring and attentive wife, mother and grandmother.
Jane grew up in Clarkston, Wash., with two sisters, Judy Ozanich and Lea Poe, and one brother, Kendall Jackson. Jane attended Kendrick High School and shortly after graduation she met a handsome young man named Gerold Ernest Sarbacher. They were married in Moscow on Jan. 23, 1971, and began their life young and in love. Jane became a mother of four children, Jeremiah, Geroldlynn, Jacinta and Joseph. Jane and Gerold settled and raised their family in Ferdinand, Idaho, and had their marriage blessed in the Catholic Church. Mom joined the Christian Mothers Group and participated in church activities; additionally, Mom supported the 4-H program where her children competed. Mom created a loving family and added good to the world around her.
Later in life, Jane and Gerold moved to Rathdrum, Idaho, to be with family and took on the role of Nana. A grandmother now, Nana spent her time on her hobbies: quilting, cooking, crocheting and reading. Nana helped her children when needed and looked after her grandchildren Kirsten, Delaney, Taten, Markena, Jeremiah, Tristan, Nathan, Jonathan, Xander and Elizabeth. Nana became a Boy Scout leader for a short time and supported the Girl Scouts of America where her grandchildren participated. Nana, with her loving nature, cared for her family and sought to bring happiness into their day. Jane/Mom/Nana will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services were Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho.
