Harold Wayne Caudle, born August 4, 1923 died November 12, 2013. He is survived by his two sons, Terry Caudle and James Caudle; his sister, Jean Caudle; and daughter-in-law, Lynette Newman.
Harold was a quiet man and kept pretty much to himself. He was Santa for a spell in Riggins and well-known in town. He was born in Winfield, Kan., and moved to Sacramento, Calif., after he got out of the Army in WWII. He married Mildred Smith and had his two sons. He raised them there while working at McClellan AFB as a civilian employee where he retired. After he retired he moved to Riggins, Idaho, where he loved to hunt and fish. He lived in Riggins, where he died, for more than 26 years.
He died with both of his sons by his side. The last year he was taken care of and kept comfortable by hospice care whom also taught Jim, who was living with him, how to take care of him. Hospice was a huge help which was greatly appreciated.
He will be missed very much! Love you, dad, meet you at the happy hunting grounds.
No services will be held and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.
