Trish Mager, 70, of Lewiston, Idaho, formerly of Grangeville passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at her home in Lewiston.
Trish was born Jan. 7, 1943, in Santa Barbara, Calif., a daughter of Vincent and Joyce Knight Koester. As a young child she moved to Tukwilla, Wash., where she started her education. She graduated from Aurora High School in Temple City, Calif. Following her graduation she worked for All State Insurance Company. She married Darrell Mager on July 1, 1967, at Temple City, Calif. They moved to Grangeville in 1969. Trish was a homemaker before going to work at the Maverick County Store and Asker’s Foods. They moved to Lewiston in 1996 and she worked at Walmart in Lewiston. She retired in 2005.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, painting, ceramics, making Christmas decorations and most of all visiting with her family and friends.
She was a member of the Jaycettes and the American Cancer Society.
She was a very good mom and always made time for her family. In addition to being his wonderful wife, she was also Darrell's best friend.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell of Lewiston; her children, Bob and Leah Mager of Grangeville, Candace and John Johnston of Grangeville and Vincent and Suanne Mager of Lewiston; her granddaughters, Jackie, Megan and Rachel; her brothers, Bob McManus and Vincent Koester both of Seattle; and her sister, Janice O'Conner also of Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Grangeville followed by a memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Services are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.
