Schyvers Homer, 88
Bernice Mary (Ackerman) Schyvers Homer, 88, passed away quietly in her sleep on Feb. 19, 2014. She was living in Lewiston, Idaho. Bernice was born on Nov. 30, 1925, in Kentmore, N.D. to Anthony and Eleanora (Kramer) Ackerman. She was raised in Grangeville, Idaho. She was married to Vern Schyvers of Grandview, Wash., until his death in 1972. She married Lloyd Homer from Grandview, Wash., some years later. Lloyd passed away in 1996.
Bernice is survived by one son, Mark McManus of Clarkston; three granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Louise T. (Ackerman) Davis, 86, passed away on April 2, 2014, with her children by her side. She was born to Anthony and Eleanora (Kramer) Ackerman on June 12, 1927, in Kentmore, N.D. She married Thomas Davis and they raised six children.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Terry (Jeff) Wood of Yakima Wash., Debi (Kelly) Barneycastle, Ellensburg Wash., Sue (Rick) West of Wenatchee, Wash.; two sons, Jim (Barbara) Davis of Wenatchee, Wash., and Mike (Donna) Davis of Ellensburg, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Bernice and Louise are survived by one sister, Marion Roderick of Spokane, Wash.; and three brothers, Lloyd and Marvin Ackerman of Lewiston, Idaho, and Bill Ackerman of Mt. Shasta, Calif. Bernice and Louise were preceded in death by their parents; a sister, Lucile (Ackerman) Kaschmitter; and two brothers, Richard Ackerman and Francis Ackerman.
There will be a Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. for Bernice and Louise on July 3 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Grangeville.
