Jackie Dale Heath, 83, of Grangeville, Idaho, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Grangeville Health and Rehab Center.
Jackie was born Feb. 15, 1931, at Vernon, Texas, a daughter of Jack and Mamie “Tincy” Kinchlow Cleveland. She moved to Winchester, Idaho, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Heath. Following their marriage they lived in California where Ken was in the Navy until 1954 when they moved to Grangeville.
She worked for Bell Telephone Company, Idaho County District Court and then for Grangeville School District 241 for 26 years.
Jackie was loved by everyone she met. She was glue, she kept things together. She was instrumental in Grangeville’s sixth grade campout. She was her family’s rock. She was a member of the Grangeville Christian Church and the Lady Elks.
She is survived by her daughter, Shawn and her husband, Mike of Grangeville; son-in-law, Pat Wilson of Montana; and daughter-in-law, June of Arizona; her brother, Allen Cleveland of Colton, Wash.; sister-in-law, Delores of Winchester; her grandchildren, Jack Barnes of Grangeville, James Spruell of Lewiston, Sky Spruell of Grangeville, John Zehner and wife, Tabitha of Fenn, Angie and Justin Vanderbark of Colfax, Wash., Paul Wilson currently stationed in Toledo, Ohio, with the U.S. Coast Guard; Kristie and husband of Morton, Wisc., and Kenny and Amanda Heath of Craig, Alaska; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and her very dear friend, Judy Wayenberg of Grangeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth R. Heath; her daughter, Tincy Dale Ann Wilson; her son, Kenneth M. Heath; and her brother, James Cleveland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at the Grangeville Christian Church with Pastor Harold Gott officiating. Services are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Send condolences to the family to
