Charlene Roberta Sherwin Goslin, 73, passed away Sept. 27, 2014, in Chico, Calif.
Charlene was born on Jan. 31, 1941, and raised by her parents, Bert and Grace Sherwin, in Grangeville, Idaho. She graduated from Grangeville High School in 1959, and attended Boise Junior College and the University of Idaho at Moscow. She married Dennis Goslin on July 25, 1963, and they moved to Chico in 1965. She owned and operated a ceramic shop for 16 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and scrapbooking. She especially enjoyed time with her family and pets at their cabin in Butte Meadows.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Grace Sherwin, and her son, Gregory Goslin.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Dennis Goslin; daughter, Melinda (Goslin) Volkert and her husband, David Volkert, of the Turks and Caicos Islands; and son, Ronald Goslin and his wife, Catherine Goslin of Medford, Ore.; her daughter-in-law, Diana Gold Goslin of Gaithersburg, Md.; four grandchildren, Justin Goslin, Sidney Goslin, Brennen Goslin and Alexander Goslin; and her brother, Joe Sherwin of Grangeville, Idaho.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Goslin residence in Chico. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity in her name.
