Calvin J. (Cal) White, 82, passed to his Lord Aug. 27, 2015. He was born in Moscow, Idaho, on June 19, 1933, to the Smith family. In 1938 he was adopted by Claud and Bellemetta White of Lucile. They raised Cal on their ranches at Skookumchuck and Cow Creek. He attended school in Lucile and Riggins.
Cal married Agnes Paul in Riggins. They were blessed with three daughters and two sons. They all worked on the family farms in Arena Valley, Murphy and Hagerman.
Cal started Cal White Construction, working on log homes all around the western U.S. He married Rosie Roberts in 1982 in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.
Cal was a fun-loving man and ran with a pack of Good 'Ol Boys always having fun and telling old stories and making new ones.
After retiring in 1999, Rosie and Cal travelled all through the west, New York, Florida and Hawaii. They spent their winters in Parker and Yuma, Ariz., spending most of their time fishing and having fun with friends on Cal's Party Barge. Cal was a 43-year member of Caldwell Elks Lodge, Emmett American Legion and Welton, Aria., VFW.
Call is survived by his wife, Rosie, of 33 years; Jan (Ron) Solders of Wendell, Karen (Dennis) Sawyer of Pollock, Ron (Alyson) White of Star, Richard (Kim) White of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Renee (Mark) Boytim of Spring Lake, Minn.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three nephews, Claud Smith, Larry Smith and Rick Paul; and one niece, Vicki Himle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bellemetta; father, Claud; and sister, Loine Smith.
