Patricia K. (Baldwin) Meinen

Grangeville, Idaho

April 4, 1939 - July 24, 2017

Patricia died Monday, July 24, 2017, at 1:03 a.m. at her home with her family by her side.
Pat was born April 4, 1939, in Kamiah, Idaho, to Clifford H and Erma O. (Newland) Baldwin. She grew up in the Kooskia-Stites, Idaho, area attending grade school then attending Clearwater Valley High School and graduated in 1957. After graduation, Pat attended Mr. Lee’s School of Cosmetology becoming a licensed cosmetologist.
In 1962, Pat met the love of her life, Bruce Meinen. They were married on Dec. 7, 1962. Pat, Bruce and Gene moved to the ranch at the top of Lamb Grade in the spring of 1963 and Sue joined them in June of that same year. In 1972, Pat and Bruce moved to Grangeville, Idaho. Bruce continued to farm and ranch and Pat worked as a cosmetologist and later as a floral designer for Finer Flowers. In 1996, Pat and Bruce purchased Finer Flowers and operated the store until 2000. After leaving the flower shop, Pat worked at Cash and Carry Market as a checker for 13 years, but retired from the store due to health issues.
As much as Pat loved Bruce, Gene and Sue, it was her grandchildren; Michael, Missy, Shasta and Cody, that lit up her life – closely followed by her 7 great grandchildren.
Pat enjoyed Bunco, working, gardening and Gonzaga basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Erma; sister, Beverly; and nephew, Tiger Altman.
Pat is survived by her husband, Bruce, at the family home; son, Gene (Brenda), of Kooskia; and daughter, Sue of Pullman, Wash.; sister, Gloria (Mike) Altman, of Lewiston, Idaho; four grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one nephew; and two nieces.
