David Wayne Hitchcock, 57, resident of Grangeville, Idaho, died Jan. 8, 2017, at Syringa Hospital.
David, or Dave as most of us knew him, was born July 8, 1959, in Roseville, Calif., to Lorna and George Hitchcock.
Dave will be remembered for his loving, compassionate, adventurous and caring spirit. He always tried to help others and loved his family and friends, but had an extra special place in his heart for his mother, Lorna. He always found the fun in whatever mayhem he encountered. He could talk for days about his many crazy adventures.
Dave had a love for fast cars, motorcycles, and his boat. He loved taking the boat out with his late wife, Julie Hitchcock. Dave was also a collector; he collected old cars, motorcycles, car parts and anything that he considered would be a fun project. He always had a project to work on.
Dave is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Luz Hitchcock; daughter and son in law, Jennay and Joe Nafziger; grandchildren, Melissa, Benjamin and Rex; parents, Lorna and George Hitchcock; sister, Tammy Plank; and many more family members; and his friends and coworkers with whom he had a very special bond at Anderson Aeromotive, Inc.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Hitchcock.
Dave, you will be missed. It will be very hard to fill the void you left in our hearts. We love you and there will not be one day that goes by that we won’t think of you.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home of Grangeville. Send condolences to the family to Blackmerfuneralhome.com.
