Betty Jeanne (Hutchens) Hamilton, 81, died quietly on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in Clarkston, Wash. She was born on March 1, 1936, at the family home on Lukes Gulch Road, Stites, Idaho, to William Bryan and Bessie Jane Hutchens, and was the baby of the family of 9 children.
After a 16-year marriage to Gordon Cash, she married Merl Hamilton in 1979 and they were happily married the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her sibilings. She is survived by her husband, Merl; and children, John Cash, Janie Cash, Joanie Coons, Carla Alderson and Janet Sharp; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her family was the most important thing in her life. Many memorable holiday dinners were held at the Hamilton house. She was an amazing cook and loved to crochet, sew, bake, garden and spend time with her family. She made many afghans, quilts and clothing and loved to give them to her family and friends as gifts.
We will forever hold our “Gram” in our hearts.
Memorial services will be held later in the spring.
