Peggy Branson (Willey) was born May 8, 1928, in Grangeville, Idaho; she died March 10, 2018.
She married Alonzo (Lon) Branson May 5, 1946. He preceded her in death in April 2016, one month prior to their 70th anniversary. They lived various places in Idaho and Washington until moving to California in 1959.
In her 40’s Peggy went back to school, eventually earning a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. They retired and moved back to Grangeville where she continued in private practice. Eventually they moved back to California, settling in first Colfax, Calif. and then Auburn, Calif.
Lon gave her the nickname “Scrappy” which to all who knew her was an apt description. She was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her four children: Nola (Paul) Milhoan, Morris (Lori), Reid (Kathy), Eric (Jana); 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Judy); sisters, Mary Ellen (Guy) Cash and Lynda Madden.
A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Lassila Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Calif.
