Grangeville’s Drew Lindsley threw the discus a personal record 167 feet, two inches March 18, at Kamiah. Per statewide results available on athletic.net, Lindsley’s toss stands as the second-longest competitive throw recorded anywhere in Idaho this season. With a throw of 163 feet-even at the Lewiston Invitational last Saturday, March 22, Lindsley established himself as the leading high school discus man among six North Central Idaho and three eastern Washington programs present. Pictured is his first throw of the year — a bomb of 164-7½, which improved his PR by nearly a foot and outflew his 2013 state third place result by more than 10 feet. Per athletic.net, Lindsley’s early season performance ranks in the top 30 nationally, and top five among 2015ers.
