This Grumman HU-16 “Albatross” was parked at the Idaho County Airport last Friday, July 21. Owned by FFF Transportation LLC of Las Vegas, Nevada, this twin-radial engine amphibious flying boat made a stop in Grangeville for Anderson Aeromotive to conduct engine maintenance and repair. The HU-16 was used by the U.S. military primarily as a search and rescue aircraft.
