While in the Idaho County jail on a pending statutory rape charge, a Kooskia man is alleged to have asked go-betweens to convince the victim in the case to state nothing happened between them. A Kamiah woman was arrested for burglary last week, and the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office suspects she may have been involved in several more area incidents. Mark H. Lankford is tentatively set for trial next month for the 1983 double murder of an Arizona couple. But it won’t be in Idaho County, nor will Idaho County Prosecutor Kirk MacGregor be leading the case. In a Nov. 21 order, District Judge Jay P. A 365-day retained jurisdiction was ordered Monday, Dec. 4, for a Grangeville man, convicted on felony vehicular manslaughter in the 2016 death of a Kooskia woman. That gives David R. McIntyre, 26, a chance to comply with court-ordered programs and treatment during his year’s incarceration.
