Photo detail

Kids with Kids Klub Kinder-Ready had a close-up look at firefighters and equipment with a visit by the Grangeville Volunteer Fire Department last Wednesday, Oct. 11. Fifteen kids, ages 4 to 5, saw firefighters display their gear, took a fire truck tour, and got a fall shower from a display of the engine’s deluge gun. The visit helps familiarize kids with firefighters in a comfortable setting and reinforce basic fire safety skills, one of several local presentations planned by the department as part of Fire Prevention Month. Pictured here, firefighters (L-R) Dan Modrell and Andrew Lane show the water pressure in an opened hydrant in front of Grangeville Elementary Middle School.
