During the 10th annual Idaho County Shootout organized by the Idaho County Sheriff's Office, Doug Ulmer (left) and Doug Giddings presented the traveling trophy to Prairie. Ulmer told the capacity crowd at the GHS gym Dec. 7 that this year's event had raised more than $17,000, and that the during the Shootout's first decade, the event had raised a total of more than $100,000 in cash and canned goods for local food banks.

The Idaho County Shootout basketball showdown between Prairie and Grangeville once again raised in excess of $10,000 for local food banks – and, marking the event’s 10th year with a record of more than $17,000 in cash and canned food donations – Idaho County Sheriff’s Officer and event organizer Doug Ulmer told a standing-room-only crowd Dec. 7 at GHS the annual showcase has raised more than $100,000 during the decade since that first night in December 2009.
