Syringa discusses ways to cut down non-emergent ER care

Among areas reviewed, CEO Abner King reported there were 4.46 percent non-emergent emergency room (ER) visits for the fiscal year. “We would like to reduce this to 3.75 percent, but we haven’t made headway on this goal yet, but we have a renewed focus on this,” King stated. Chief medical officer, Dr. Matthew Told, said this is a “difficult one.”

New CEO, King, named to lead Syringa

Syringa Hospital and Clinics recently announced Abner King, FACHE, as its new chief executive officer. King will begin Jan. 9. He most recently worked as the chief operating officer at Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon.
