Memorial Day, May 28, local veteran groups assembled at the Grangeville Cemetery to honor America’s heroes. The Crea-deHaven VFW Post 3520, American Legion Grangeville Post 37, their respective auxiliary units, Sons of the American Legion, LaFemmes, and others in the community participated. Speeches, prayers, flowers, flags, and a 21-gun salute were offered in remembrance of America’s fallen heroes. “Taps” was played by Legion & VFW member, US Air Force veteran Connie Workman. Memorial poppies were distributed by the Grangeville American Legion Auxiliary’s junior member, Sophia Wright. Here, Connie Workman plays Taps.
