Cottonwood News: Rain good for crops; year’s apples are big

Happy Halloween to everyone. The drenching rain on Sunday was good for the crops just coming up. But not so welcome to the many ranchers working with cattle during the weekend. We had our apple squeezin’ party on Sunday. The apples were unusually big this year. Now to can the apple juice so we can use it all year. I found a new apple pie recipe that I would like to share. This can also be canned in a boiling water canner for 30 minutes to use later.
