More than 60 people, representing several area churches, participated Sunday, Oct. 6, in the National Life Chain in Grangeville. This is the 10th year for the local involvement – involving participants from Grangeville, Cottonwood and White Bird – which is one of many as part of the national event that started in 1987. Participants lined on both sides of Main Street in a silent demonstration with signs in opposition to abortion and supporting adoption and prayer for the nation. The event called on participants to be in prayer during this time for those affected by abortion and to end the practice.
