Futuristic Forestry wins bid on King’s Bluff fire mitigation logging
Futuristic Forestry Services put in the winning bid for a four-acre timber cut at King’s Bluff, where fire mitigation department coordinator Randy Doman told the Idaho County Commission Aug. 1 there is need for ingress/egress for firetrucks upstream of the Kooskia National Fish Hatchery.
Futuristic bid $3,510 to cut 3.6 acres, or $975 per acre. One other bid was received.
Driver injured; crashes into light pole
GRANGEVILLE – Josh Campbell of Grangeville, sustained a minor injury following a Sunday, Aug. 6, vehicle accident on Main and Idaho streets in Grangeville. The incident was reported at 3:12 p.m. Cause of the accident is under investigation, according to Grangeville Police Chief Morgan Drew, but is likely due to a medical condition. A minor child, restrained in a car seat, was also involved but was uninjured. No further information was available.
