GRANGEVILLE — Audiences of all ages will get a fresh look at an old favorite this Friday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m. when the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and more than 60 local students present “The Tortoise Versus the Hare.”

Playing the title characters, Coach Shelley Bowlback and Curly Hare, are local students Matthew Nelson and Emilio Barela. Other featured characters include Bella Dame as Esther Bunny, Sydnee Long as Little Bonnie Bunny and the Weasels played by Ashton Willis and Carly Glassman.

The Ferrets will be played by Elli Klapprich, Laura Nelson, Dusty Bashaw. The Reptiles, Adrian Rodriguez, Hailey Killary, McKenzie Winkler, Abigail Owens, Carlee Pikus, Kaylee Pikus, Natalie Long, Sawyer Astle, Mason Whitcomb, Kennidee Scheuerman, Cressis Holey and Kaylee Sullivan. The Thespian Troupe, Tykyn Meyer, Chloe Winder, Hailey Losberger, Talia Brown, Emmie Told, and Shawn Chahal. Appearing as Curly’s Posse will be Amaya Hammatt, Cameron Whitcomb, Ruby Willis, Jefferson Good, Ella Denuit, Kimberly Seaver, Alyssa Dudley, Gabriella Nelson, Addie Crowl, Tayden Wassmuth and Kameryn Beman, the TV Crew will be Clarissa Stevens, Demi Klapprich, Anna Waite, Caryss Barger, Reese Pollan, and Maya Hernandez.

The Curly Hare Fan Club will be played by Mia Nelson, Makenna Elliot, Ryker Thayer, Chloe Wiesz, Elizabeth Brewster, Julianna Nelson, Callie Weisz, Jesee Pikus, Carson Astle, Bella Musick, Bear Wilcoxson, Carter Blackwell, Joe Manifold, Ellie Austin, Katelynne Nail, and Sara White.

Taryn Godfrey, Laura Fischer, Kaelyn Blackwell, and Holly Brannan have served as Assistant Directors throughout the week.

The play will be presented at 7 p.m. at the Grangeville Elementary Middle School multi-purpose room. Tickets are $10 per immediate family, $5 per adult, and $3 per child and are available at the door. Reserved seating is available. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
