GRANGEVILLE Lucille and Bill Taylor of Grangeville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at the home of one of their daughters and her husband, Nancy and Steve Clark, in Grangeville, with many of their family and others present, including their daughters, Nancy Clark, Pamela Mower, Sheila Montoya, and Heidi Higginson. Their two sons, Kevin Taylor and Vern Taylor, were unable to attend.
They were married Dec. 28, 1952, in the Federated Church in Grangeville. They are graduates of Grangeville High School, and later, the University of Idaho in 1953, and he, again, in 1956.
They returned to Grangeville in 1958, from Boise, and have resided here ever since.
She has been active as one of the charter members of the Idaho County Genealogical Society and was the director of the Family History Center for 39 years at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which they have been longtime members. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1960.
He is a retired attorney, having practiced for many years at Boise, Grangeville and Cottonwood.
They have been blessed with six children, 27 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren, as well as 23 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren, and are anticipating more.
Their health appears to be good and they look forward to many more years together.
