Deputies Avoid Close Shave, Donate To Charity

Non-profit organization Hope Center received a $520 donation from the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office last Friday, Jan. 11, at its Grangeville office. The money was raised as part of a new in-house policy, started last month, that allowed deputies who wanted to grow beards to put $40 in the kitty to be donated to a charitable organization. Bristling with excitement were (top, L-R) Nick Harris, Christian Gulotta, Jim Gorges, Scott Paulsen, Matt Bybee and Mike Brewster (bottom) Justin Scuka and Micah Olson; and at right were Hope Center director Kelley Turney and ICSO Sheriff Doug Giddings. Not pictured: Sam AuGello, Roberto Hernandez, Jerry Johnson and Michael Victorino. Hope Center is a Christian non-denominational non-profit 501(c)3 with offices in Grangeville and Kamiah.
