COTTONWOOD -- We have been enjoying a rather mild winter, but the forecast for the next couple days might not be so good. We woke up to seven inches of snow this morning. I don’t think the groundhog saw his shadow on Feb. 2, so we will have six more weeks of winter.

Remember to donate to our local food bank! Our food bank is always in need of donations of food items (canned and boxed foods) and personal items such as toothpaste, toilet tissue, shampoo. Donations can be left in the back of the church at St. Mary’s.

Women’s Retreat: There are spaces still available for the Women’s Spiritual Exercises to be held March 8-10 in the Holy Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude. The Idaho County Republican Central Committee (ICRCC) met on Jan. 15, at the meeting room at the Super 8 in Grangeville with Marilyn Giddings as chairman. The next meeting of the Idaho County Republican Central Committee will be Feb. 19, at the Super 8 meeting room at 6 p.m. Anyone interested may attend.
