The VFW Auxiliary invites everyone to their annual Valentine’s Day Dinner on Feb. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. They will be serving steak, baked potatoes, salad, dinner rolls and dessert. The price is $15.00 per person and sign-up sheets are available at the following locations (in alphabetical order): Elk City General Store, Elk City Hotel & Gift Shop, Elk Creek Station, Lumberjack Café & Saloon, Reno Club, or at the VFW. Those of you who live here, or drive our Highway 14 in the winter, and if you are like me, marvel at the ice falls on the cliffs that line the river. I stopped several times on Sunday as we drove out and took some pictures. I know in years past, they may have been bigger/thicker, but wanted to share these with those who don’t have a chance to see them.
