GRANGEVILLE— Mountain View School District 244 trustees met for several hours Friday, March 22, in a special meeting.
Action taken following the meeting included a reversal on a decision made last month not to extend the contract of Grangeville High School Principal Randall Miskin.
In the reversal, the board voted 4-1 to extend Miskin’s contract another two years, through the 2020-21 school year.
In the January and February meetings, the board also voted not to extend contracts to superintendent Marcus Scheibe and Grangeville Elementary Middle School Principal Dr. Susan Anderson. They also hired district technology coordinator Joe Rodriguez to replace retiring Clearwater Valley Elementary School principal Sue Hill.
At the March meeting, the board also made the decision to continue teacher negotiations with two board members meeting with two members of the Central Idaho Education Association. That meeting date is to be determined.
