Larry and Jennie Lyons

KOOSKIA — The children of Jennie (Straw) and Larry Lyons invite all to congratulate them on 50 years of marriage.

Both are graduates of the Clearwater Valley High School in Kooskia, class of 1968. They were married in Grangeville, Idaho, on Jan. 4, 1969.

Their early adventures together include living in the Coeur d’Alene area while Larry completed his college education, the Fenn Ranger Station, Red River Ranger Station and the Dixie Ranger Station. Eventually Larry became self-employed developing Larry Lyons Logging and Jennie went to work for the Mountain View School District where she retired after 35 years in 2016. Jennie also owned and operated Syringa Sue’s Wild Jellies and Jams for several years.

Larry is now semi-retired but stays busy with his large equipment, construction projects, farming and rebuilding classic vehicles. Jennie now “works” as his hired hand. They enjoy hunting and fishing in Idaho and Alaska, traveling with friends and family and spending time with their grandchildren. Their children, Lynn Johnson (Dale), Bridget Albright (Dale); and grandchildren, Abbie, Emma, Seth, Breanna and Anna Jo are proud of them and their fifty years together and look forward to more adventures with them.
