Arnzen interns at Free Press, Shopper

Jacey Arnzen, a 2014 Grangeville High School graduate, is a summer intern for the Idaho County Free Press and The Shopper.

GRANGEVILLE — A local face has been seen working away at the Idaho County Free Press and The Shopper office this summer.

Jacey Arnzen, a 2014 graduate of Grangeville High School, is interning at the newspaper. The daughter of Jerry and Janell Arnzen of Grangeville, Arnzen attends the University of Idaho in Moscow where she is majoring in advertising and minoring in art with an emphasis in graphic design.

“Here at the Free Press I am mostly doing ads and laying things out [on the computer],” she explained. “Along with regular ads I have worked on the new phone book, and some fun things for Border Days, Relay for Life and the Idaho County Fair premium book.”

In the future, she said she hopes to work in creative advertising and/or graphic design.

“I want to travel around a bit after graduation then probably end up in a bigger city for a while and we will see where life takes me from there,” she said.

Although college life keeps her busy, when she has spare time she likes to hang out with friends and family, do some photography, and stay involved with her sorority at the U of I, Delta Gamma, by holding a leadership position and playing intramural sports such as volleyball.

She also enjoys spending time at the river in the summer and skiing in the winter.
