Democrats to meet Jan. 14

KAMIAH — The Idaho County Democratic Party monthly meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 14, at the Kamiah Senior Center, 125 North Maple Street. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the meeting will be called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Directions from Cloninger’s Grocery in Kamiah: Head west on Highway 12 and turn right on Maple between Palenque and The Station (Conoco). In 377 feet, the senior center will be on the right. Enter through the back door, as per request of the manager.

Republicans to meet Jan. 15 at Super 8

GRANGEVILLE — The Idaho Republican Central Committee will meet Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m., at the Super 8 meeting room in Grangeville. All are invited.

Prayer time is Jan. 12

GRANGEVILLE – Area residents are invited to gather for prayer with brothers and sisters in Christ at the Soltman Center (across Main Street from the hospital) in Grangeville at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12.

Amateur Radio Club to offer FCC license class

GRANGEVILLE – The Camas Prairie Amateur Radio Club will be teaching an FCC general class license class beginning Saturday, Jan. 19, for six weeks. Classes are set for 9:30 a.m. to noon and will be held at the Idaho County Community Outreach and Veterans Center.

A prerequisite to this class is the FCC technician class. Those interested need to contact one of the following instructors (so enough materials can be ordered): Clyde Hanson at 208-983-0172; Jerry Haaland at 208-983-2001; or Grant Griffin at 208-983-0985.

Kamiah Education meeting is Jan. 16

KAMIAH — The Kamiah Education Foundation (KEF) will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 5:30 p.m., in the Kamiah Middle School Library. Agenda items will include appointment of Board of Director positions, election of officers, 501(c)3 status updates and review of submitted grant proposals from Kamiah School District staff.
