GRANGEVILLE — One person was transported for medical treatment following an Oct. 12 two-vehicle accident 14 miles south of Grangeville.

Ismael C. Montes, 69, of Grangeville, was taken to Syringa Hospital.

The crash was reported at 2:10 p.m. on Grangeville-Salmon Road at milepost 13, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office report. Billy G. McCoy, 27, of Weippe, was driving a 1996 Kenworth semi-tractor southbound on icy road conditions when he drove left of center and collided with a northbound 1995 Ford F150 pickup, driven by Montes. McCoy was not injured, nor was Montes’ passenger.

McCoy was not cited.

Long’s Towing of Cottonwood handled wrecker services for the Ford. ICSO was assisted on scene by Syringa Ambulance.
