KOOSKIA — A court date is pending for a Kooskia man charged with felony drug and firearm charges following a traffic stop last month.

Timothy J. Godwin, 35, is charged with felonious possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine, along with driving without privileges (DWP) and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

Charges resulted from a July 20 traffic stop in Kooskia by the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, during which Godwin was arrested for DWP and on a felony aggravated battery warrant out of Lewis County. According to court records, a search of Godwin’s vehicle allegedly recovered a Ruger Single Six .22-caliber revolver missing its cylinder, a baggie containing methamphetamine, and glass and plastic pipes.

Godwin is currently on probation for a 2016 felony eluding a police officer charge out of Idaho County. The Lewis County warrant alleges Godwin used force upon the victim, inflicting facial fractures, during a June 29 incident investigated by the Kamiah Marshal’s Office.
