Finishing up around Orogrande

Earlier this month, the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests announced prescribed burning in the Orogrande area, and a helitack crew based in Grangeville helped carry some of it out. “This 80 acre burn was one of the final in a multi-year hazardous fuels reduction project aimed at reducing fuel loading and residual logging slash around the community of Orogrande,” the Grangeville Helitack Facebook page noted along with several photos June 26.
