Red River Hot Springs is under new management. As of May 1, Todd Clift took over the springs and said he is looking forward to the summer season.

The kitchen is open serving breakfast and lunch in addition to Friday’s taco night and Saturday’s pasta night, 5-7 p.m.
The Grangeville post office is still accepting nonperishable food items this week for the Stamp Out Hunger project. Drop by the post office downtown or leave items so your carrier can pick them up. All food will go to the Camas Prairie Food Bank.
Don’t forget Cottonwood’s community-wide yard sales are this Saturday, May 21, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick up your maps at the Mini Village or Cottonwood Foods.
Syringa Hospital will host its free Wellness Fair Saturday, May 21, at Grangeville High School. Preregistration starts at 8 a.m. the day of the event, with the fair starting at 8:30 a.m. Preregister online prior to the event at www.syringahospital. org or pick up a form at Syringa Clinic.
Several tests will be available including blood pressure, blood sugar*, cholesterol, cardio fitness walk test, A1C, FIT and then benefits counseling. (Require a 14-hour fast; drink plenty of water). Nutrition snacks will be provided.

Many in the community — especially if you currently have kids in the Grangeville schools — have heard this is music teacher Kathy Stefani’s last year at Grangeville. She has helped build a wonderful music program in Grangeville and will be greatly missed. She will, however, get to spend more time with her mother and that’s definitely important. We wish her well.
