Lewiston Police arrested three men who were allegedly trying to cash counterfeit lottery tickets at local businesses.

Lucas S. Chane of Spokane, Wash., Rodney K. Olson, 35, of Post Falls, and John W. Day, 30, also of Spokane were arrested for felony possession of counterfeit or altered state lottery tickets. They have been incarcerated in the Nez Perce County Jail.

The suspects reportedly obtained more than $800 by cashing some fake tickets.

The Idaho State Lottery Commission is now assisting in the investigation.
